Problems printing to Shared DYMO Label Writer 400

Recently i had to install a dymo labelwriter 400 onto a workstation for a client with it shared through the network to allow multiple workstations to print to the same labelwriter. Easy i thought; Share it out from the machine that its connected to and the install the shared print queue onto the remote workstations along with the software.

As it turns out the Dymo software (Version 8.4.2.18) WILL NOT work with the remote printer added via the workstations IP address. It requires the use of the NETBIOS machine name \\MACHINENAMEHERE

 

Not sure why this is the case but it is, so hopefully this will save others tearing their hair out :)
